  • Removal of pus: The dentist will remove the pus and the juice.
  • Direct pulp capping: Relaxation usually involves application of a calcium solution to allow the pulp to recover. Generally iodoform calcium paste is used for this purpose.
  • Root Canal Treatment: This is a very common and well-known procedure. In a root canal treatment or RCT procedure, the damaged and infected pulp is removed and a gutta-percha cone is inserted into the pulp cavity. Once the hole is filled, it is capped. Currently, this is the best method of tooth preservation and dentists use this method.
  • Tooth Extraction: Tooth extraction is the least preferred treatment. According to dentists, tooth extraction should be considered only when all other treatments to save the tooth have failed.   • Limit the amount of sucrose (sugar) in your daily diet.
  • Reduce the time between light and heavy meals.
  • Brush your teeth twice a day.
  • Use an antibacterial mouthwash such as chlorhexidine.
  • Use fluoride-containing toothpaste and gel.
  • Eat protein-rich foods.
  • Chew food thoroughly before swallowing.
  • Use sugar-free chewing gum.
  • Smooth the tooth surface.
  • Fill all cavities.
